The Right to Public Service (RTPS) Bihar is an initiative by the Government of Bihar aimed at ensuring timely delivery of various public services to the citizens in a transparent and accountable manner. Established under the Bihar Right to Public Services Act, 2011, the RTPS framework empowers citizens to demand and receive government services within a stipulated time frame.
The mission of RTPS Bihar is to make governance citizen-centric, efficient, and transparent, reducing unnecessary delays and eliminating corruption in the process of service delivery. Through the RTPS online portal (serviceonline.bihar.gov.in), citizens can easily apply for essential government certificates, such as:
- Caste Certificate
- Income Certificate
- Residence Certificate
- Character Certificate
- Birth and Death Certificates
- And many other departmental services
The system provides applicants with an Application Reference Number (ARN), which allows them to track their application status online and receive updates through SMS or email.
RTPS Bihar also promotes good governance by holding government officials accountable for service delivery within a specific time limit. In case of delays or denial of services, citizens can file an appeal or complaint through the portal, ensuring transparency and accountability at every step.
